Happy Halloween🎃

先日、昭和村に行った際、かぼちゃがたくさん販売されておりました🎃
ハロウィン用のかぼちゃなのか、大きいものが多かったです🎃🎃
ハロウィンは、毎年 10月31日 に行われるお祭りです。
元々は、 古代ケルト人の「サウィン祭（Samhain）」 が起源のようです。
収穫を祝い、同時に「死者の霊を迎える日」とされておりました。
その後、キリスト教の「万聖節（All Saints’ Day）」の前夜祭として広まり、アメリカでイベントとして発展し、世界中に広まりました🌎
現代では、「仮装」「お菓子」「パーティー」「飾りつけ」の日として知られています🧟🍬✨
Trick or Treat!（トリック・オア・トリート！）と子どもたちが、仮装して家をまわり、「お菓子をくれなきゃイタズラするぞ！」と言ってお菓子をもらいます👻
かぼちゃをくり抜いて、ろうそくを入れる、ジャック・オー・ランタン（Jack-o’-Lantern）を作ります🎃
ジャック・オー・ランタンには、悪霊を追い払うという意味があります。
おばけや、ゾンビなどの仮装もハロウィンの定番ですね👻🧟
昔のヨーロッパでは、かぼちゃではなくカブを使っていたそうです。
ハロウィンカラーの、オレンジは「収穫と太陽」、黒は「死と闇」を象徴しています🧡🖤
ハロウィンは「怖い日」ではなく、「収穫を祝って楽しむ日」がもともとの意味です。
秋らしい飾りつけやかぼちゃ料理を楽しむのも素敵ですね😆
Halloween is a festival celebrated every year on October 31st.
It originally comes from the ancient Celtic festival “Samhain”,
which was held to celebrate the harvest and to welcome the spirits of the dead.
Later, it spread as the eve of All Saints’ Day in Christianity,
and eventually developed into a festive event in the United States before spreading around the world🌎
Today, Halloween is known as a day for costumes, candies, parties, and decorations🧟🍬✨
Children dress up in costumes and go from house to house saying,
“Trick or Treat!”, meaning “Give me candy or I’ll play a trick on you!” 👻
People also make Jack-o’-Lanterns by carving pumpkins and placing candles inside🎃
These lanterns are believed to ward off evil spirits.
In old Europe, they actually used turnips instead of pumpkins!
The orange color of Halloween represents harvest and the sun,
while black symbolizes death and darkness🧡🖤
Halloween isn’t originally a “scary day” —
it’s a day to celebrate the harvest and enjoy the season together✨
