Izumo Taisha.
Izumo Taisha is dedicated to Ōkuninushi no Ōkami, known as the “God of Enmusubi” (marriage and relationships) and famous for the “White Rabbit of Inaba” myth.
While the 10th month of the lunar calendar is known as “Kannazuki” (the month without gods) throughout Japan, in the Izumo region, it is called “Kamiarizuki” (the month with gods).
This is because it is believed that the myriad of gods from all over Japan gather at Izumo Taisha for various meetings related to enmusubi.
In addition to enmusubi, Izumo Taisha is also known for bestowing blessings such as “childbirth,” “marital harmony,” “bountiful harvests,” and “prosperous business.”
